The compact has been created but does not have the required number of enacted jurisdictions to establish the Commission.
The APRN Compact increases access to care while maintaining public protection at the state level. Under this compact, nurses can practice in other compact states/territories, without obtaining additional licenses.
The APRN Compact allows advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) to have one multistate license with the ability to practice in all compact states. APRN mobility is key to providing greater access to care. You can help bring the benefits of the compact to your state by sending a message to your legislators asking them to support APRN Compact legislation.
